How your coins stay active

Onboarding coins stay active while you are active. Your first 50,000 never expire.

GoCoins: Keeping Them Active

When you connect your Instagram or YouTube, GoExplorer credits you with coins. 1 Coin equals ₹1, and you spend them on barter stays and deals in the app.

What are onboarding coins?

The coins you get when you first join are your onboarding coins. They are made up of a connection bonus of 2,000 coins per channel, plus a performance bonus based on your recent video views, up to 2,00,000 coins in total. Full breakdown in how your onboarding coins are calculated.

How do coins stay active?

Your coins stay active as long as you do. Any one of these keeps your full balance active:

  • Applying to a collab
  • Submitting a deliverable after a stay
  • Referring a creator who verifies their account
  • Making a booking or completing a stay
  • Creating a GoConnect automation on one of your posts
  • Linking a new Instagram or YouTube channel

What happens if I am inactive?

You get a 30-day welcome period from the moment your coins are credited, and nothing can expire in that window. After it ends, if 30 days pass with none of the activities above, 20% of your original onboarding coins expire.

You will never be caught out by it. We send you a reminder 10 days, 5 days and 1 day before anything expires, and one collab application resets the clock on your whole balance. If you have an application pending or coins on hold, the clock is paused until that clears.

What never expires?

  • Your first 50,000 onboarding coins. Expiry never takes you below 50,000. If your onboarding reward was 50,000 or less, it never expires at all.
  • Your connection bonus. The 2,000 coins per connected channel stay with you.
  • Coins on hold. Coins held against a pending property application are always protected.
  • Earned coins. Coins from deliverables and referrals follow their own rules and are not affected by onboarding-coin expiry.

Why GoExplorer does this

Coins exist to get you travelling and creating. Keeping them tied to activity means the creators who actually use GoExplorer get the most value, and there is always a stay waiting for your next application.

A 60,000 coin reward, left untouched

Your onboarding reward was 60,000 coins. You have a quiet 30 days after the welcome period, so 12,000 coins expire, which is 20% of the original 60,000, leaving 50,000. That is the floor, so nothing expires after that no matter how long you are away.

A 40,000 coin reward

Your onboarding reward was 40,000 coins, which is already under the 50,000 floor. Nothing ever expires, and you get no expiry warnings.

Applying just in time

You get a reminder that 12,000 coins expire tomorrow. You apply to a collab that evening. The clock resets to zero on your full balance and nothing expires.
