Day by day
Day 1: Arrive in Tokyo
Arrive at Narita or Haneda airport and transfer to your Tokyo hotel with an English-speaking assistant.
Day 2: Tokyo
A full day in Tokyo: Asakusa Kannon Temple, the Imperial Palace, a Sumida River cruise and Hamarikyu Garden, plus a sushi-making experience. Dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 3: Tokyo > Kanazawa
Take the bullet train to Kanazawa and explore the well-preserved samurai district, including the Nomura House. Dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 4: Kanazawa > Shirakawa-go > Takayama
Visit the UNESCO-listed thatched farmhouses of Shirakawa-go, such as the Wada and Kanda houses, then transfer to Takayama for the night.
Day 5: Takayama > Kyoto
Explore Takayama's morning market, the Takayama Jinya, the Yatai Kaikan float hall and a sake brewery, then travel to Kyoto. Dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 6: Kyoto
A full day in Kyoto: Kiyomizu Temple, the Sanjusangendo hall, Nishiki Market and a tea ceremony. Dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 7: Departure from Kansai
Transfer to Kansai airport for your onward flight.
