Day by day

Day 1: Arrival in Tokyo

Arrive at Narita/Haneda Airport Transfer to hotel

Day 2: Tokyo

Tour of Tokyo, visiting Imperial Palace (Nijubashi Bridge), Tokyo SKYTREE, and Asakusa Kannon Temple and Nakamise Shopping Arcade. Cruise on the Sumida River and visit to Hamarikyu Garden.

Day 3: Tokyo – Nikko – Tokyo

Tour of Nikko (a World Heritage Site) by bus, visiting Toshogu Shrine (build in 1617 as the mausoleum of the shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu), Tokugawa’s tombs, and Kegon Waterfall

Day 4: Tokyo – Kamakura – Yokohama – Hakone

Transfer to Hakone via Kamakura, the capital of Japan from 1185 to 1333 Visit the outdoor Great Buddha statue in Kamakura, an amazing example of Buddhist culture, as well as Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine and Yokohama Chinatown, the biggest Chinatown in Japan.

Day 5: Hakone – Mt. Fuji – Kyoto

Tour of Mt. Fuji (a World Heritage Site) and Hakone by bus, visiting Mt. Fuji 5th Station, cruising on Lake Ashi, and taking the cable car to Owakudani (the "boiling valley") Transfer to Kyoto by Shinkansen

Day 6: Kyoto

Tour of Kyoto (a World Heritage Site), visiting Kinkaku-ij Temple (Golden Pavilion), Ryoan-ji Temple (with a splendid rock garden), Nijo-jo Castle, and Kiyomizu-dera Temple

Day 7: Kyoto – Nara – Kyoto

Tour of Nara, visiting Todai-ji Temple (a World Heritage Site) with its Great Buddha statue, Nara Park (deer park), and Kasuga Grand Shrine (a World Heritage Site)

Day 8: Kyoto – Osaka

Transfer to Osaka by bus Tour of Osaka visiting Osaka Castle, ABENO HARUKAS (HARUKAS 300 observatory), and the Shinsaibashi downtown shopping area
