Manjarabad is Tipu Sultan's eight-pointed star fort, built to watch the ghat road to the coast. Stand on its walls at mid morning and you understand the whole geography of Sakleshpur in one look: the Western Ghats dropping away, the railway line threading the forest, and estate country rolling back the other way.
The circuit pairs the fort with the viewpoints locals actually rate, the ones scattered down estate lanes with no signage, where a wrong turn costs you forty minutes and a stuck car. That is the quiet argument for doing this with a local driver rather than a maps app.
You book the car and the driver, not a seat. Five unhurried hours: the fort while the light is still angled, two viewpoints, and a proper estate-country lunch stop before you are dropped back. Lunch is the one thing you pay for on the day.

Timed for the light
The fort's star shape reads best before noon and the ghat views haze over by afternoon. The circuit is sequenced around that.

1. Manjarabad Fort
Tipu Sultan's eight-pointed star fort, built to watch the ghat road to the coast. About 250 easy steps up, then the ramparts and the powder rooms.
2. The ghat drop viewpoint
An unsigned lookout down an estate lane where the Western Ghats fall away in front of you. There is no gate, no counter and usually nobody else.
3. The railway forest viewpoint
The second lookout, where the railway line threads through the forest below you. It is the view people try to get by walking the track, seen legally and safely instead.
4. Estate-country lunch stop
A local favourite in estate country, chosen because we eat there ourselves. The recommendation is ours, the bill is yours.

Estate lanes, not highways
The distances are short but the lanes are narrow, unsigned and occasionally just estate mud. You book the whole vehicle with its driver for the circuit, pickup to drop, and the price does not move with the number of people in it.

Most fitness levels. The fort climb is around 250 easy steps with rest points. Children welcome; the fort walls are unfenced so keep small ones close. The car seats four or six depending on which you pick, and the price is the same either way.

The circuit runs in light rain, and the ghats in mist have their own drama. In heavy rain the viewpoints lose their point, so we offer a free reschedule or full refund, decided by 9 pm the night before.

Safety and the operator
The viewpoints are natural ledges without railings; the driver walks you to the safe standing areas. The fort is an ASI monument, treat the walls gently.
Questions
Is the price per person?
No. You are booking the car, not a seat. Four of you in a Dzire pay the same as one person would.
Is this doable with a toddler?
Yes, with a carrier for the fort steps. The circuit has no long walks.
Can we add the railway bridge walk?
Walking the operational railway line is prohibited and we do not offer it. The second viewpoint gives you the railway-through-forest view legally and safely.
Why not self-drive it?
You could reach the fort. The viewpoints are the circuit's heart and they are effectively local knowledge, not destinations a map will take you to.
