The hills you have been driving through, explained
Every road in Coorg runs between coffee estates, and from the car they are a single green blur. Inside one, with someone who works it, the blur resolves: robusta on the lower slopes, arabica higher, pepper climbing every tree because land here is never asked to do one job.
This is a guided two-hour walk through a working Kodagu estate with the planter or estate manager, ending in a tasting of the estate's own crop roasted three ways, brewed in front of you.
It slots into any Coorg day: morning walk before an afternoon at leisure, or the golden-hour version where the shade trees go copper. You book the car for your group, so a couple and a family of six pay the same.

1. Into the estate
A twenty to thirty minute drive out of Madikeri on plantation roads, and through a gate that does not open off the street. The work carries on around you as you walk.
2. The slopes and the intercrops
Robusta low, arabica higher, pepper climbing every tree. The green blur you have been driving through finally resolves into a system.
3. The pulping shed and drying yards
Where the cherry is stripped and the parchment is spread. In season you see it running; out of season you get the machinery and the calendar explained.
4. The tasting table
The estate's own crop roasted three ways and brewed in front of you, with estate snacks alongside. You leave knowing what you actually like.

Car there and back, booked for your group
The estate is a short drive from Madikeri on plantation roads. Your vehicle collects you, waits through the walk, and returns you after the tasting. The rate covers the car, the walk and the tasting for everyone in it.

All ages and most fitness levels. Paths are estate tracks, fine for steady walkers, hard for strollers. The car seats four or six depending on which you pick, and the price does not change with the number of you.

Is the price per person?
No. It is one price for the car, the walk and the tasting, whether there are two of you or six.
How is this different from the Chikmagalur walk?
Different terroir, different story: Kodagu is robusta-dominant, wetter, and the estate culture is Kodava. If you have done one, the other still lands.
Can we buy beans?
Yes, the estate's own roast at farm prices. No pressure, and you pay the estate directly.
Morning or afternoon?
Morning is busier in the yards; late afternoon has the light. Both run the same route.
